The General Overseer of the Jesus Christ Apostolic Faith Church, Snr. Pastor Justice Abban has revealed that people who claim to be men of God are a contributory factor to the numeousc problems faced by majority of Christians today.
According to him, majority of these self acclaimed men of God have continuously deceived their congregation by spread false hopes through their sermon promising them false hopes of prosperity.
He said instead of preaching salvation, about eighty percent of their sermon are geared towards prosperity and wealth through prayers, creating the impression that God will grant ones hearts desire when through prayer, without working towards it.
This, he said has made a lot of Christians lazy towards work, spending precious working hours in church, praying. Snr. Pastor Justice Abban made this observation at the weeklong 84th National Camp Meeting of the Church at its Headquarters at Agona Asafo in the Central Region.
He further noted that these men of God, instead of sanctifying themselves to please God, rather dress in lavish clothes and drive expensive cars to please people, to the detriment of their congregation.
The conference which was on the theme: “Strive To Enter Through The Narrow Gate” coincides with the exact day that the Church was formed on 19th October, 1941.
