The Member of Parliament (MP) for Agona East, Hon. Queenstar Maame Pokuah Sawyerr last Thursday and Friday donated laptops to some basic schools in her constituency.
The donation was in fulfillment of request made by the schools.
The beneficiary schools include Duaboni AEDA, Kwesikum AEDA, Kwame Ntsi Ful/Fuawhia Aeda, Kenyako Catholic, Agona Bawjiase AEDA and other schools.
According to the MP, the gesture is to promote the teaching and learning of ICT at the basic level in her constituency.
She averred that education is at the heart of her priorities for her constituency and for that matter, he is putting in all efforts and resources to ensure that school children in Agona East get the best out of whatever that comes along with education.
The teachers and pupils of the beneficiary schools couldn’t hide their joy as they expressed gratitude to the MP and indicated that the donated items were going to solve their ICT problems.
In another development, the MP also interact with chiefs and people in the communities, visited sick people in their homes and make some donations to the sick.
The MP donated bags of rice and cash and encouraged everyone to come on board and work hard for victory 2020.
