The Agona West Constituency Deputy Organizer of the National Democratic Congress {NDC}, Mr. Alex Sekorme has described the ruling New Patriotic Party {NPP} administration under Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo as the worse government in Ghana’s political history.
According to the NDC Deputy Organizer, the NPP has adopted diversionary tactics to cover up its failed promises of providing every constituency in the country one million Cedis, every village a dam and every districts a factory as promised during the run up of the last general elections which brought the party into power.
He has challenged the president Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo to deal with members of the party who were captured in the Anas expose tape taking bribes to aid people to embark on galamsey, rather than witch hunting members of the opposition party such as the Chairman of the NDC, Mr. Ofosu Ampofo to cover up its failure.
Mr. Alex Sekorme also challenged the president Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo to deal with his party’s vigilante group, the Delta Force who stormed a Court premise to free some of its members who were standing trial for committing criminal offences to prove to Ghanaians that the NPP is ready to deal with lawlessness in the country..
He also cited the drastic and continuous decline of the Cedi under the reign of the NPP, despite the promise made by the party’s vice president Dr. Mamudu Bawumiah that the currency would be stabilized against the major currencies such as the Dollar, Pound and Euro when the NPP is voted into power.
Mr. Sekorme also described the current security situation in the country as worse under the NPP administration, citing the rising incidents of kidnapping, killings and spate of robbery attacks as typical examples.
”Former president John Dramani Mahama’s statement that the NDC will match the NPP boot for boot meant we are not going to allow the NPP continue to lie on its way to the seat of government this time round, and that we are going to expose all their lies one after the other” he assured.
”We have a lot to show for in terms of performance and we have a lot to compare with the NPP in terms of developmental achievements between Nana Addo and Mahama” he reiterated.
