The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) led by the MP for the party in the Agona West Constituency in the Central Region, Hon. Mrs. Cynthia Mamle Morrison last Saturday embarked on a massive clean-up exercise in Agona Swedru, desilting major drainages in the town.
The exercise, organized by Nana Nkosuo, youth and developmental wing of the party saw both members and sympathizers of the party participating in the exercise. Present at the exercise were the Acting Constituency Secretary of the party Nana Kwame Agyei, the Constituency Youth Organizer Fred Boateng, the President of the wing group Mr. Stephen Sarkodie and some of his Executives members Paul Boateng and Felix Tetteh, as well as Assembly Members for the Mahodwe and Bebianeha Electoral Areas Hon. Prince Ahyiah Gyimah (aka Olu) and Emmanuel Opoku Antwi among others.
Briefing this reporter, the President of Nana Nkosuo, Mr. Stephen Sarkodie said the purpose of the formation of the Association is to mobilize supporters of the party, especially the youth to help promote the course of the NPP victory in the up-coming 2020 general elections and beyond.
Meanwhile, the Assembly Members have called on the Municipal Assembly to provide and place waste bins at vantage points in the town to help curtail the problem of haphazard dumping of refuse by some unconcerned members of the public.
