Traditional Leadership of Akyem Apaaso in the Birim South District of the Eastern Region have installed Nana Kojo Ahinkra III has been installed as Chief of the area.
The ceremony which was characterized by beautiful traditional ritual performances was graced by some prominent personalities and the townsfolk.
In addressing the gathering at his installation ceremony, the new chief of Akyem Apaaso, Nana Kojo Ahinkra III, urged the people of the area to join forces together with him to seek the development of the area.
He said that it is needful for Akyem Apaaso to develop like its surrounding towns.
“We must also get somewhere with development. As it stands, it looks like we are the only town that lacks progress as far as developmental projects are concerned and we must together champion an agenda to grow our town to be like the others,” he said.
Nana Kojo Ahinkra III said “it is unfortunate that our own people who have reached the top hardly come to our aid because even out there, people from Akyem Apaaso are shy to disclose they come from here. I am urging us all to be proud of our town and come together to help build it well.”
The newly installed chief hinted that he has planned to serve and to help build the Akyem Kotoku Traditional Area.
Nana Kojo Ahinkra III expressed gratitude to the chiefs and elders of Akyem Apaaso for ensuring sanity and orderliness in the town.
He sought God’s grace and divine intervention for the Akuamuhene and also wished long life for him.
