
The Church of the Lord Brotherhood has hosted its 35th Elders Congress in grand style at Akyem Oda in the Birim Central Municipality, Eastern Region.
The Elders Congress is a cornerstone event of the church, focusing on humility, leadership skills, and building the church of God. This year’s congress was highly successful, attracting elders from various regions across the country.
Pastors from The Church of the Lord Brotherhood nationwide attended the event, making it a memorable occasion. The Akyem Oda District Minister, Archdeacon E.K. Mantey, and his elders played host to the gathering.
Next year’s congress is scheduled to take place in the Oti Region.
The National General Secretary of The Church of the Lord Brotherhood, Bishop J.Y. Ahenkora, has urged all to adopt a lifestyle that pleases God.
In an interview with Oyerepa TV after the Church’s 35th Elders Congress in Akyem Oda, Eastern Region, Bishop Ahenkora emphasized that being born again means embracing a new life, free from evil influences.
“As Christians, it is essential to live a lifestyle that reflects our faith, and encourages others to follow,” he stressed. “Not every lifestyle is acceptable, and we must strive to emulate Christ.”
Bishop Ahenkora advised everyone to be their brother’s keeper and urged leaders to set good examples, as people learn from them.
Archdeacon E.K. Mantey, Akyem Oda District Minister, cautioned the youth to be mindful of their actions. “The world has a purpose, and we must use our hands to work and be creative,” he said. “There are opportunities available; let us avoid stealing and work hard to receive God’s blessings.”
Bishop J.K. Baidoo, Accra Diocesan Head, encouraged the congregation to support one another. “Teach your congregation the right path, and lead by example,” he advised leaders. “Let us strive to live a lifestyle that pleases God.”
Deacon Emmanuel Lartey Koranteng urged all to support the needy and guide them on the path to heaven.
