Odauhene Daasebre Ofosu Kawbi Ayebiahwe has enstooled Baffour Nana Osei Afrifa as the Twafohene of Akyem Etwereso in the Akyemansa District, Eastern Region.
The Odauhene, addressing the people, stated that Baffour Nana Osei Afrifa is not new to the Odauman.
According to him, the Twafohene’s mother comes from Asante Akyem Dwaso, while his father hails from Akyem Chiaa, which is under the Odauhene, making him a native of the area.
The Odauhene said that in the olden days, people served chiefs, but nowadays, when you’re installed as a chief, your responsibility is to serve your people.
Daasebre Ofosu Kawbi Ayebiahwe shared that when he first became the chief of the area, he thought of bringing five developments to the town.
One of these developments is building a befitting chief’s palace so that when visitors come to the place, they will have a suitable place to stay, which he has accomplished.
Additionally, he thought of security, and he has built an ultra-modern police station for the people.
Currently, he has acquired cement, sand, and blocks for the facelifting of the health facility in the town.
He said that together with the MP, they have finished the first phase of the Kwaniakwa Tourist attractions center, and very soon, they will start the second phase to boost tourism in the town.
He mentioned that lastly, he is going to build a toilet facility for the people so that they can have a convenient area.
He emphasized that he is a man who believes in development, and he encourages Baffour Nana Osei Afrifa, the Twafohene, to emulate what he is doing for the people so that he can also help bring development to the people.
Daasebre Ofosu Kawbi Ayebiahwe urged all to join hands so that they can develop the area together.
The District Chief Executive of Akyemansa District, Mrs. Linda Ahenkora, commended the Odauhene for the developmental projects he has been undertaking in Akyem Etwereso.
According to her, she is a development-oriented person, and she is going to collaborate with the chiefs so that they can develop the district together, especially the Kwaniakwa Tourist attractions center, to generate income from it.
