Achiase district is set to get a 24-hour ultra-modern market: Achiase DCE.

The District Chief Executive of Achiase District, Hon. Samuel Brako, has announced plans to construct an ultra-modern 24-hour market featuring banks, a lorry station, shops, a sick bay, and schools.

In an interview with Oyerepa TV, Hon. Brako highlighted the district’s progress, including a 35% increase in internally generated funds (IGF)since he came to office compared to the first quarter of 2025 and previous year.

He attributed this growth to effective revenue collection by the Achiase, Aperade, and Anamase local councils.

Hon. Brako also discussed ongoing and planned infrastructure projects, including road construction from Achiase crossing to Akenkausu, currently there’s road construction project ongoing in the Jungle Warfare school to the Achiase Roundabout.

The Canan junction to Achiase road, a major road in the district that was left unfinished by the previous government, will be completed after Hon. Brako engages the contractor to resume work.

He emphasized the importance of good roads for farmers to transport their products and promised to engage contractors to complete the unfinished projects.

The DCE highlighted the government’s support for farmers, including the supply of fertilizers, seedlings, and palm trees.

He also mentioned plans to build three CHIPs compounds to improve healthcare infrastructure in the district, in addition to the hospital built under Agenda 111.

Addressing unemployment, Hon. Brako said he would engage foreign investors to open factories in the district, providing jobs for the youth.

He noted that some youth have already been employed through the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), National Ambulance Service Assistance, National Fire Service Assistance, and Police Service Assistance.

Regarding transportation, Hon. Brako discussed measures to regulate the use of “pragia” (tricycle taxis) in the district, including the requirement for embossment stickers, valid licenses for riders, and a ban on riders under 18 years old.
