Fugitive Comet Estate Officer Kingsley Adjei Finally Busted From His Hideout For Brutal Attack On Police Officer

The Greater Accra Regional Police Command has arrested fugitive Comet Estate Operations Officer, Kingsley Adjei, who has been on the run for weeks after allegedly leading a violent assault on a police officer at Borteyman near Trassaco Valley.

An Accra High Court, on Monday, 27th October 2025, issued a bench warrant for the arrest of Adjei and two others for their roles in the brutal attack. The assaulted police officer had reportedly responded to a distress call from residents facing harassment by landguards in the area.

Adjei, widely known as mastermind operating within Accra and its outskirts, is alleged to have ordered his men to attack the uniformed officer, obstructing him from carrying out his lawful duty.

Two accomplices were earlier picked up by police and arraigned before court on 27th October 2025, where they were remanded into custody. Adjei, however, managed to escape arrest and had since been hiding until he was smoked out of his hideout on Tuesday, 2nd October 2025, during a special police operation.

The suspect, who has since been discharged, is expected to appear before court on the 15th of December, 2025.

Adjei, believed to be a close associate and protégé of Odeneho Kwaku Kyeremanteng, CEO of Comet Estate Limited, has long been feared by developers within the Borteyman enclave due to his alleged involvement in violent land-related attacks and blatant disregard for the law.

His arrest has brought significant relief to several developers and residents who claim they have suffered intimidation, threats, and property destruction at his hands.

Police sources further indicate that Adjei is also connected to multiple ongoing criminal investigations, including unlawful entry, destruction of property, and threats to the life. of estate developers.
