Eminent Anssosa, an alumni association made up of members from different year groups, has successfully held the maiden edition of its Nine Lessons and Carols service via WhatsApp video call, marking a significant milestone in the group’s growing activities.
The Eminent group was formed with the shared vision of supporting Mother ANSECO, strengthening alumni networking, and promoting unity among past students. Since its formation, the group has contributed meaningfully to the development of the school, including the donation of ceiling fans, the creation of an official school website, and the erection of a new signpost at the school’s entrance.
About two months ago, the association elected new executives to steer its affairs. The leadership team is headed by Mr Sena Gayheart Kumedzro as Chairman, with Mad. Ethel Asiwome serving as Vice Chairperson. Mad. Angela Taygah is the Secretary, Mr Felix Deyegbe the Organiser, Mr Secorm Jerome the Public Relations Officer, and Mr Edem Azila the Treasurer.
The maiden Nine Lessons and Carols service was held on Tuesday, December 23, and was described by members as interactive, spiritually uplifting, and well coordinated. The virtual format allowed members from different locations to participate actively in the Christmas celebration.
Several Eminent members enriched the programme through scripture readings and carol renditions. They included Eminent Rev. Selorm Deyegbe, Eminent Ethel Asiwome, Eminent Irene Sebu, Eminent Princepatt Amedume, Eminent Aglah Epiphany, Eminent Mawuli Yevu, Eminent Fafali Deyegbe, Eminent DSP Seth Kpodo, Eminent Fred Amaglo, Eminent Francisca Sedina, Eminent Bernard Joachim Potakey, Eminent Victor Azamesu, Eminent Angela Taygah, Eminent Jerome Secorm, Eminent Edem Azila, Eminent Rejoice Awagah, Eminent Sena Gayheart Kumedzro, and Eminent Edem Doe.
The programme was expertly chaired by Eminent Dr Emmanuel Gaveh, who served as the Master of the Ceremony and guided proceedings throughout the service.
Speaking after the event, Chairman Mr Sena Gayheart Kumedzro expressed gratitude to members for their commitment and participation. “This maiden Nine Lessons and Carols reflects the unity and dedication of Eminent Anssosa. Even though we met virtually, the spirit of Christmas, fellowship, and service to Mother ANSECO was strongly felt,” he said.
He added that the group remains focused on its mission of giving back to the school and strengthening alumni bonds. “We have several impactful projects and programmes planned for 2026, and we are confident that, together, we can do even more for our alma mater,” Mr Kumedzro noted.
On his part, Dr Emmanuel Gaveh commended the organisers for the smooth execution of the event, describing it as “a refreshing and innovative way of keeping the Christmas tradition alive while bringing alumni together, regardless of distance.”
The executives and the entire membership of Eminent Anssosa have extended warm Christmas wishes to all members and supporters, wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year as the group looks ahead to an active and impactful 2026. 🎄
