A HIGH Court in Accra has placed an injunction restraining one Seth Gblie Nartey and Iddrisu Tettey Mansro together with their assigns from making grants of any portion of Appolinia lands without the consent and concurrence of the respective Clans and families.
The High Court considering a Writ, Suit No. LD/1285/17 filed by Moses Dortey Abladey and Asafoatse Odiasempah IV, on November 29, 2017 seeking for an order for Interlocutory Injunction against the Defendants Seth Gblie Nartey and Iddrisu Tettey Mansro, has ordered that the Defendants have no rights to allocate portions of the Appolina lands to anybody whatsoever without the consent of the families involved.
The Defendants including Nii Tettey Iddrisu Mansro and others have been accused of allocating portions of the Appolonia lands to prospective buyers without the consent of the clans and families involved, hence the Court action to stop any further sale of the land until the final determination of the Suit.
Iddrisu Mansro Tettey-Kwao is also believed to have arrogated unto himself the title of Regent of Appolonia and together with others, have been selling portions of Appolonia Stool lands to unsuspecting members of the public.
The development has awakened the families of the area who stood up and sought reliefs under the Courts of the land.
Meanwhile in his order, Justice Emmanuel Amo Yarttey, said the Defendants must respect the order of the Injunction and stay away from the said land until the final determination of the Suit.
He also ordered their privies, assigns, agents and other persons who are taking instructions from them to also desist from entering the land.
