First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo has launched the 2018 Rotary Family Health Day’s Campaign.
The three-day event is on the theme: “Healthy Families, Healthy Communities.”
The campaign will provide critical health services to Ghanaians in deprived communities.
Mrs Akufo-Addo expressed confidence that together with the Ghana Health Service and USAID as implementing partners, Rotary will be able to reach the target of providing health services for 50,000 underserved women, children and families.
“I encourage greater and better collaboration between Rotary and the Ministry of Health and urge them to consider working with other ministries like Gender, Children and Social Protection, Education and Sanitation and Water Resources. Let us work together to promote healthy-living among all people living in Ghana, irrespective of their social setting,” she posted on Facebook.
