The Akyem Kotoku Manrɛhemaa Nana Afia Bamfoa Konadu Yiadom has called for calm among residents of Akyem Kotoku Anyinam, assuring them that everything is under control.
The Manrɛhemaa, speaking to her people after attending the funeral of the former Eastern Regional Commander, DCOP (RTD) Gyamera Yeboah, stated that very soon there is going to be victory for them. She urged her people not to worry but to keep calm and remain focused.
She noted that if anyone calls himself a chief or a queen of Akyem Anyinam Kotoku, the people should tell the person to go to the Akyem Kotoku Palace.
“That is where Akyem Kotoku chiefs and queens have been having their meetings and if you are not a chief or queen you can’t go to the Akyem Kotoku Palace,” she stressed.
She said they are the recognized rulers of Akyem Kotoku Anyinam.
Nana Marfo Ampaabeng II, Chief of Akyem Kotoku Anyinam, also urged the people to be calm, assuring them that everything is under control.
He reiterated the call by the Manrɛhemaa for peace and unity as the traditional leadership works to resolve all outstanding issues.
