About 60% Of All Suicide Incidents Have Spiritual Connotations – Churches Declare

By. Robert Ayanful

It has been established that about sixty percent of all suicide cases are as a result of some spiritual influence that compels the perpetrator to feel rejected by family or society, thereby choosing death as the best option to whatever pain or shame they go through.

This was revealed by the founder of the Twelve Apostles Salvation Miracle Church at Agona Swedru Prophetess Victoria Arthur, the Swedru Area Head of the Voice of the Lord Evangelical Church Pastor Frederick Ato Bentil, and the founder of Jesus Power Prayer House at Gomoa Aboso all in the Central Region, following the recent reports of incidents of suicide cases in the country.

If anything to go by, this revelation defeats the claim by many that all suicide cases are as a result of one form of the state of mind or another.

But both Prophetess Victoria Arthur and Rev. Frederick Ato Bentil say there is more to it than just a mental problem, giving series of accounts of people who were haunted by forces of the spiritual realm either through curses or attacks by unknown spirits brought into the family by their forefathers, but were later redeemed through prayers and told their stories.

They said such spirits turns to torments members of the family as pay-back for violating its rules which are in most cases unknown to them, in some instances tormenting them to take their own lives by committing suicide.

Readers would recall that since the last five years, there have been over one hundred reported cases of suicide incidents in the country among people from diverse backgrounds, including children, elites, members of the Clergy, the rich and the poor.
