The Overlord of Akyem Kotoku State, His Royal Majesty Oseadeyo Dr. Frimpong Manso IV,has said he wants Akyem Oda Central market to become an even bigger commercial hub, operating morning, afternoon, and evening to boost Birim Central Municipality’s economy.
He said this after touring the market, citing complaints from traders and assembly briefings.
He appreciated work done but urged the assembly to demolish abandoned structures to attract investors.
He’s committed to bringing development and ensuring traders have a good place to work, shielded from the sun.
The MCE, Hon. Solomon Kusi Brako, promised to complete renovations by March 2026, adding fire detectors, CCTV cameras, and more sheds.
He assured traders they’ll soon have a better place to do business.
