The Member of Parliament for Akyem Oda constituency in the Birim Central Municipality Eastern Region, Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah, has organized a training program in dreadlocks making for the people of Akyem Oda as part of his efforts to create job opportunities in the area.
The training, which will be facilitated by Guinness World Record holder for Yoga Locks, Chelsea Abigail Owusu Ansah, aims to equip participants with skills in various types of dreadlocks making.
In an interview with the media, Alexander Akwasi Acquah stated that his goal is to empower the people, particularly those who have completed school but are currently unemployed.
He wants to provide them with alternative opportunities and motivate them to be productive.
He also aims to help beauticians acquire additional skills to increase their income.
The MP promised to reward the top 10 performers in the training and encouraged participants to take the program seriously, believing it will bring numerous benefits.
Hon. Joyce Adwoa Agyeiwaa, former Municipal Chief Executive of Birim Central Municipality, commended the MP for his initiative, noting that the training will be beneficial to the ladies and that acquiring skills is essential in today’s job market.
The trainees expressed their gratitude to the MP for his kindness and prayed for his continued success and blessings.
