Akyem Swedru SHS Alumnus Donates State-of-the-Art Health Facility to School.

Mr. Francis Tandoh, an old student of Akyem Swedru Senior High School, has built an ultra-modern health facility for his alma mater, worth GH₵ 350,000.

The facility, named after the Tandoh family, was presented to the school with the aim of improving healthcare services for students.

In an interview with the media, Mr. Tandoh stated that as an old student and a native of Akyem Swedru, he felt compelled to give back to society after being blessed.

He was inspired to build the health facility after seeing a picture of students receiving healthcare in inadequate conditions, with males and females sharing the same ward.

He believed that a proper sick bay was essential to save lives.

Mr. Tandoh called on other old students and philanthropists to join him in developing their alma mater.

He emphasized the importance of collective efforts in improving the school’s infrastructure and facilities.

The Headmaster of the school, Mr. Afare Agyepong, commended Mr. Francis Tandoh for his benevolent gesture.

He noted that the student population was large, and the new health facility would significantly address health concerns.

Mr. Agyepong also appealed for additional support to build more classroom blocks to eliminate the double track system and for science lab equipment to enhance learning.

He urged philanthropists and old students to come forward and assist the school in these areas.
