Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu Honored for Supporting Community Development

The organizers of the Sarkis Peace Cup, led by Mohammed Laryea, honored Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu, President and Founder of the Afro-Arab Group of Companies, with a citation for his unwavering support of the 23rd edition of the tournament.

 

 

The event was held at Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu’s Astro Turf in Fadama, Accra.

 

Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu served as the Special Guest of Honor for the 2nd edition of the Sarkis Peace Cup, which saw the Kasoa Community crowned as champions.

 

Mohammed Laryea presented the citation to Dickson Boadi on behalf of the Afro-Arab Group President, expressing profound gratitude for the support and urging other corporate bodies to follow Ambassador Amadu’s exemplary gesture.

 

Laryea emphasized the importance of the platform created by the Sarkis Peace Cup, which uses football as a vehicle to promote peace, educate the youth about the dangers of drug abuse, raise awareness about electoral violence, and provide young talent with opportunities to shine on a larger stage. This initiative aims to foster community and national development.

 

In response, Dickson Boadi thanked the organizers for the recognition and assured them of ongoing support from Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu and the Afro-Arab Group. He commended the organizers for their commendable efforts and pledged continuous support for future editions of the tournament.

 

The Sarkis Peace Cup continues to be a vital initiative in promoting peace and development within the Zongo communities and beyond, providing a positive outlet for the youth and encouraging community cohesion through the sport of football.
