Asante Akyem Amentia Presbyterian Church Inaugurates Church Choir

The Asante Akyem Amentia Presbyterian Church of Ghana, located in the Asante Akyem South District, has officially inaugurated its church choir in a grand ceremony.

Established in 1985 by Rev. BB Ankomah, the church initially held services in a school building.

However, following former President Rawlings’ ban on church services in schools, the congregation relocated to its current site.

Despite facing numerous challenges, Hon. Akwesi Sowa, former Assembly Member and Presbyter, along with the Adonten Hene, secured a plot of land for the church.

Under the leadership of Rev. Francis Appiah, who recently was transferred from Akyem Anyinam in the Achiase District, the church has introduced several new initiatives.

One notable achievement is the establishment of the church choir, which has been well-received by the congregation.

Rev. Wilberforce Yamoah, Ayirebi District Minister of the Presbyterian Church, praised Rev. Francis Appiah for forming the choir.

He emphasized the importance of music in worship, stating that church services would be incomplete without a choir.

Rev. Yamoah also commended Mr. Kweku Sem, the choir leader, for his dedication to the church.

During the inauguration ceremony, Rev. Alex Boateng Danso highlighted the significance of music in uplifting and motivating individuals.

He encouraged the congregation to listen to music that promotes the message of the Lord.

Nana Adusei II Asante Akyem Mronam Benkumhene congratulated the church on the successful establishment of the choir.
