The aspiring Member of Parliament for the Agona West Constituency on the ticket of the National Democratic congress, Paul Ofori Amoah last week held widows in the Municipality to a dinner as his way of celebrating the Valentine Day.
Over three hundred widows were treated to the dinner, devoid of one’s political affiliation, religious background or social status.
Prior to the dinner, the aspiring Member of Parliament organized a health walk with supporters of the party and teeming youth of the town.
Meanwhile, the Agona Swedru branch minister of the Samaria Miracle Church, Rev. Johnson Dzeameshie has admonished Christians to live by the principles of St. Valentino, the father of Valentine’s Day in whose memory the occasion is celebrated, by caring for the needy and under privileged in society.
Speaking at his welcome service, Rev. Dzeameshie expressed worry about the situation where most people, including some Christians see the celebration of the Day as an opportunity to make love, instead of to show to the less privileged in the society.
