Global Celebrations Canada (GCC) a Canadian-based non-profit organization, is set to host its annual Canada Day celebrations in a grand style in Accra at Circle, Kwame Nkrumah Water Garden (Dubai), and Loboma Beach.
The spectacular event, which is slated for July 1, 2022, will attract hundreds of stakeholders, including representatives from the Government of Canada abroad, business leaders, members of the media, and members of the international community.
A flag-raising will be held at Circle Kwame Nkrumah Water Garden (Dubai) at 10 am prompt. All dignitaries and embassies are warmly invited.
From there the celebrants will move to Loboma Beach from 1 pm – 6:30 then back to Circle Kwame Nkrumah Water Garden (Dubai) for performances.
GCC will also collaborate with the government of Ontario, key decision-makers in the Province, and other stakeholders to promote the Canadian values of respect for different cultures, safety, peace, and people-to-people connections whiles adhering to all the COVID protocols.
According to the organizers, the past events have involved multi-cultural groups- Indians, Africans, Europeans, Asians, Jewish, and Arabs in the spirit of promoting the Canadian values of respect for diversity, inclusion, and openness.
The event was meant to be hosted in the United Kingdom but owing to some challenges, the organizers decided to hold it in Ghana to help strengthen ties with Canada.
This year, GCC will focus on young and future music artists, aborigines, and indigenous organizations from Canada to rally the celebrations around culture, music, dancing, and art.
The Canada Day celebration which is free for all Trophy Tavern will also attract your favorite musicians and celebrities, who will add a splash of excitement to the event.
Amazingly, the best-dressed person at the event will walk home with 500-1000 Ghana Cedis as a prize.
The dress code is Red and white in Canadian colours.
