A powerful Tamale-based spiritualist and leader of the Kejebi Shrine in the Northern Region, Chief Naatia Salifu has expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the Former Vice President Dr. Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur, and condemned false pastors and prophets to stop deceiving the people of Ghana with their useless talks of death predictions.
Chief Naatia Salifu said he was shocked by the news of the former Vice President’s death but became more appalled when he heard some people, who claim to be men of God and prophets, saying they predicted the death of the fine State Gentleman.
Mr. Amissah-Arthur was reported to have collapsed at the Air Force Gym early Friday and was rushed to the 37 Military Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Not too long after the news broke out, Founder and Leader of Glorious Word and Power Ministry International, Prophet Isaac Owusu-Bempah among others were heard on air claiming the late former Vice President, Amissah-Arthur did not die a natural death.
Prophet Isaac Owusu-Bempah also said he gave a prophesy about the death of the ex-Vice President and that the recent development is the manifestation of his prophesy.
Owusu-Bempah said he had predicted the death of the former Veep but they failed to look for spiritual deliverance though some of his aides had come to see him.
He claimed further that there are so many spiritual things that caused the man’s demise.
But Chief Naa Tia Salifu said in he hates it when he hear some self-acclaimed pastors and prophets claiming to have predicted deaths of people.
“I hate it when I heard some self-acclaim pastors saying they predicted the death of the vice president,” he said.
He indicated that the time has come for those prophets to respect the God they claim to be serving and stop making useless comments in the name of prophesies.
Chief Naa Tia averred that the likes of Owusu Bempah must go get themselves a better business rather than toying with peoples’ emotions and lives, challenging them to predict the future of the sitting president, the future of Ghana and how Ghana can grow and develop.
“I challenge them to predict the future of the sitting president if they can,” he said.
He said they must desist from being doomsday prophets and focus their prayers and prophesies on what the future holds for Ghana so that poverty and diseases will be taken care of and people will live a better life.
Chief Naa Tia however described the former Vice President as a fine gentleman who discharged his duties with dignity.
“It is unfortunate that he passed away suddenly. We all know his contributions to the public life of Ghana, and he will be forever remembered,” he said.
He said: “My sympathies are with his wife, children and family. I extend my deepest condolences to them, and also to the former President of the Republic, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, and to the NDC. Ghana has lost a fine statesman.
