A retired police officer, Nana Amanfo disclosed that he has already picked some names through intelligence gathering of some youth who are grossly engage in the practice, and hinted that he is in touch with the police to arrest such people in due time.

He gave the warning during the celebration of this year’s Akwambo Festival by the Chiefs and people of the town.

Speaking at the sidelines of the celebration in an interview with the media, he pointed out that the move is to help stem the tide of possible addiction by the children who are the town’s future generation.

Again, he warned that from henceforth, any child in the town found eating from a polythene bag would have the parents of that child summoned before the Chiefs to answer why they allowed the child to eat from a polythene bag instead of eating at home.

According to him, in the process of eating from the polythene bag, the children unknowingly consunes portions of the polythene bag which contain harmful chemicals, a process he said can cause serious health problems to the children which can even lead to death.
