Some members of the Clergy have called on Christians not to celebrate Valentine Day because according to them, the celebration has lost its intended purpose of showing love to the less priviledge in society.
According to the concerned members of the Clergy, the celebration has lost its meaning as even Christians, are using the occasion to make love, instead of showinh love.
The founder of Blood of Power Evangelical Min. Pastor Daniel Sarkwa, the General Overseer of Christ Angels Min, Prophet Eduakoh Otieku Tawiah and the Agona Swedru District Minister of the Musama Disco Christ Church, Rev. John Benyi Eshun who spoke in seperate inteviews on Valentine Day bemoaned the way people all over the world are celebrating the events, describing it as an occasion that seemed to be meant for making love.
Though they all embraced its intended purpose, they however noted that it will now be better for Christians to avoid its celebration because of the way the world is celebrating the events.
