Combating Covid-19,Major markets in Asene Akroso Manso constituency to be disinfected on Saturday

Major markets, lorry parks and trading centres in the Asene Akroso Manso constituency in the Asene Manso Akroso District of the Eastern Region will be closed to the public on Saturday 4th April, 2020 to enable city authorities embark on their turn of the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development’s (MLGRD) nationwide disinfection exercise.

This is contained in a joint communiqué signed by Hon. George Kwame Aboagye, the Member of Parliament for the area and Hon. Alex Incoom, the District Chief Executive of the area.

In the brief statement, the Member of Parliament and his DCE have stated that, the entire nation is not in normal times. They further allude to the fact that, the fight against the COVID-19 global pandemic is a routine activity and therefore are appealing to residents and persons who may directly or indirectly be affected to bear with them in order to fight the virus together and make the Asene Akroso Manso constituency a COVID-19 free zone.

In view of the above, the following markets will be closed on Saturday 6:00am for the all important exercise to take place. Eshiem market, Akroso market and lorry park, Asuoso market, Asuboa market, Asanteman market, Nkwanta market, Manso market, Asene market and all surrounding shops in the aforementioned areas.
