COVID-19: Lebanese Culture Center in Ghana Supports Ghana Police Service

Lebanese Culture Center in Ghana has taken another judicious step by presenting some valuable items to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Ghana Police Service to help the fight against the spread of the COVID-19.

The items include; large quantities of beverages, Personal Protective Equipment, detergents, cereal products and many more.

This forms part of the Lebanese community’s desire to help children living with cancer and help them receive treatment in a conducive environment.

Presenting the items, the Vice –President of Lebanese Culture Center in Ghana Mr.  Ahmed Dayekh, said the donation exercise was meant to complement government’s efforts as it is working assiduously to resource the frontline workers with essential logistics that would help contain the disease in the country.

Stressing that, the Center will continue to support the frontline workers within their capacity to help win the war against the deadly disease.

Mr.  Ahmed Dayekh, also seized the opportunity to advise the public to adhere to all precautionary measures and also avoid public gatherings as well as washing their hands regularly with soap under running water to help prevent possible spread of the virus.

The Commissioner of Police (COP) Prosper Kwame Agblor receiving the items at the Police Headquarters expressed profound gratitude to Lebanese Culture Center in Ghana for embarking on such benevolent exercise.

Emphasizing that, the items donated would be used for the intended purposes in order to achieve the desired results. However, he also entreated other corporate bodies to emulate the kind gesture taken by the Center.

 

He further advised members of the public in the lockdown areas to respect the lawful directives relating to the restriction of movement to curtail the spread of COVID-19.
