Some concerned members of the Clergy have sent strong word of caution to unmarried pastors who have no experience in marriage yet have taken it upon themselves to counsel would-couples.
The Agona Nyakrom branch minister of the Apostles’ Continuation Church, Pastor Kwesi Atta and the Agona Swedru area minister of the Damascus Christian Ministry Int. Apostle Paul Gyasi Acheampong who sent the word of caution noted that the practice has now become a common norm among pastors, where everyone calls himself a marriage counselor.
They blamed this for the collapse of many Christian marriages nowadays, saying it accounts for over eighty percent of all cases. According to the concerned members of the Clergy, marriage is like a life sentence in which one enters forever, no matter the situation the couple will find themselves in, and this can only successful upon the advice of the parents of the couple, and not the counseling of a so-called pastor who has no experience in marriage.
They have therefore advised all such unmarried pastors to desist from the practice, as it is destroying many Christian marriages.
