Commercial drivers in the country have been advised to guard against what has been described as reckless driving, especially during this yuletide to make the celebration a memorable one.
The advice was given by the Founder of the Overcomers Royal Sanctuary in Agona Swedru and lecturer at the Living Faith Theological Seminary of the Regent University, Apostle Joshua Kobina Darko Spokwell, as well as the Swedru Branch Minister of the Christ Chapel Int. Mission, Apostle James Akyerekwah Jnr. over the weekend. According to Apostle Spokwell, the high incidents of road accidents in the country are as a result of reckless driving on the part of drivers.
He also blamed the authorities for failing to fix the poor nature of the country’s roads, which he said also, contributes largely to accidents in the country.
On his part, Apostle James Akyerekwah advised all road users, especially commercial drivers to exercise restraints during the period of the Christmas festivities.
Speaking at the end of a 14-Days Thanksgiving and Anointing Service by the church on the theme: “There Shall Be Showers of Blessings” Apostle Akyerekwah also appealed to drivers to desist from engaging in confrontations with passengers, as that could distract their attention and cause accidents in the process.
