The Hague – The Netherlands reiterated, on Saturday, its firm commitment to the strategic partnership between the European Union (EU) and Morocco, following the rulings of the European Court of Justice (ECJ) on the fisheries and agricultural agreements between the EU and the Kingdom.
“We reaffirm our firm commitment to the EU-Morocco strategic partnership,” said the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its X account, stressing that the Netherlands supports the joint statement by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and EU High Representative Josep Borrell on the ECJ rulings.
In the joint statement, the two officials reaffirm the EU’s commitment to further preserving and strengthening its close relations with Morocco in all areas, in accordance with the pacta sunt servanda principle.
