Empowering Futures: Jacinth Consultancy Services and Bamboo Bring Financial Literacy to CHED COCOBOD

For staff of the Cocoa Health and Extension Division (CHED) of COCOBOD, this year’s training wasn’t just another workshop, it was a step toward financial freedom.

In partnership with Bamboo, Jacinth Consultancy Services delivered an engaging financial literacy session designed to help participants rethink how they earn, spend, and invest. From practical budgeting strategies to understanding investment opportunities, the workshop opened conversations around money that many admitted they had never had in such a clear, relatable way.

The training builds on last year’s week-long initiative at the Quality Control Company (QCC) of COCOBOD, which reached hundreds of staff members. This year’s event continued the momentum, proving that financial education is not just a one-off activity, but a culture worth nurturing within institutions.

Ms. Akua Boatemah Danso, who facilitated the workshop, shared why this work is personal to her. “I believe financial literacy should not be a privilege—it’s a right. When people understand how money works, they are better positioned to create the life they dream of. That’s why we keep showing up in these spaces.”

Participants expressed gratitude for the timely knowledge, with many noting that the lessons would help them manage both personal and family finances more effectively. One participant shared, “I now see investing differently. It’s not something for later, it’s something I can start now.”

Bamboo’s collaboration provided participants with practical insights into how technology is reshaping investing, offering tools that make saving and wealth creation more accessible than ever before.

The partnership between Jacinth Consultancy Services and Bamboo continues to set a precedent for impactful collaborations, showing how education and innovation can come together to transform lives.
