It has been identified that too much intake of fruits that contains high acidic and alkaline contents such as oranges, pines and grapes could cause stomach ulcer as this chemical contents easily corrodes the inner walls of the stomach, leading to wound.
It is also identified that excessive intake of food, as well as improper chewing of food is another contributory factor to the disease, as they slow down digestion, thereby putting so much pressure on the stomach.
The advice was given by the Chief Executive Officer of Piesie Wellness Consult in Agona Swedru, Dr. David Kobina Lartey in an interview with Ghananews247.com.
According to him, the disease has now become common among many Ghanaians nowadays because people are living stressful life without giving much attention to their diet.
He gave complaints of pains in the stomach few minutes after eating and also during midnight as some of the signs of stomach ulcer and therefore advised people who experience such conditions to seek for early treatment before the condition deteriorates.
