Ghana COVID19: 50, 719 Tests Done So Far

Ghana’s Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah says that the country has, as of Wednesday evening, conducted 50,719 COVID19 tests.

Out of the number, 641 of the tests have turned out to be positive of the virus.

This means that about 1.3% of persons tested for COVID19 in the country have been infected with the virus.

83 people have recovered after the second negative test and 17 more awaiting results of their second test following discharge.

The Information Minister disclosed this during Thursday’s Minister’s press briefing to update Ghanaians on the fight against the coronavirus.

Ghana is one of the top twenty countries in the world that is testing more COVDI19 samples per million of its population.
