The newly installed Guantuahen of Agona Asafo in the Central Region, Nana Kwesi Tenkorang II has assured that he will use his status as Guantuahen to resolve issues pertaining to any individual in the town, with regards to the traditional authorities.
He gave this assurance when he swore an oath of allegiance to the Chiefs and people of the town after his installation. A private legal practitioner by profession, he succeed his late uncle Dr. Kwesi Botchwey, former Finance Minister.
Speaking to the media after his installation, Nana Kwesi Tenkorang expressed optimism that his background as a lawyer will aid him to execute his responsibility as Guantuahen.
He noted that traditional authorities have a greater role to play in the country’s constitutional democracy, and urged Chiefs to embrace themselves with that fact.
He hinted that education remains is major priority and therefore urged the youth to take their education serious, as according to him, that is the only way to build their capacity, which will help inspire generations after them.
He also advised the youth to refrain from the use of abusive substances, so as not to destroy their future.
