Iran Ready For Ghana-Northern Region Delegation

The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to receive a delegation from the Northern Region of Ghana to Iran to further deepen the already existing collaboration between Ghana and Iran.

The delegation according to information tripling in will be visiting Iran in a fortnight upon Iran’s fulfillment of its promise to boost bilateral relations with Northern part of Ghana.

It could be recalled that on January 21, 2016 a meeting between the Iranian ambassador to Ghana, Dr Nasrollahi Maleki and delegation of northern region was held to discuss wide range of issues among which was the possibility of the Ghanaian delegation paying a reciprocal visit to Iran to champion bilateral relations of the two countries.

The Iranian Ambassador to Ghana, Dr Nasrollahi Maleki visited the Northern Region of Ghana last month and engaged the region in creating avenues of establishing further collaborations in addressing issues bothering on health, education and agriculture development whilst placing much emphasis on youth empowerment through business and commerce.

 

Dr Nasrollahi Maleki whilst in the region paid a courtesy call on the Northern Regional Minister where both leaders discussed at length, programs that will propel the Northern Region to greater pedestal and benefit more from what Iran has to offer in those areas.

That meeting was successful hence the decision by Iranian government to extend a hand of invitation to the team from the Northern Region who will be meeting investors among other activities.

The Five-day meeting will center on the formation of cooperation in areas of health, education, sanitation, petrochemical, import and export which areas are believed to have greater prospects for the two countries especially the Northern Region.

The strategic meeting which will be held will boost trade and commerce.

The delegation is also expected to hold talks with a high-powered investors and government officials from Iran in areas of concern to both sides as far as development and growth is concern.
