Hon. Eric Edem Agbana, Member of Parliament for Ketu North, has announced a series of development projects for local schools, aimed at improving infrastructure and economic self-sufficiency.
The announcements were made during a tree-planting and environmental awareness program at Wovenu and Dzodze Penyi Senior High Schools, which was also attended by the CEO of the EPA.
Among the major initiatives:
ICT Development: All four Senior High Schools in the constituency will receive fully equipped computer labs to ensure students no longer borrow computers for exams.
Agribusiness & Poultry Farm: Wovenu SHS will soon host a National Service Authority pilot poultry project funded by MasterCard Foundation, expected to generate substantial revenue for school needs.
School Farm Expansion: With 20 acres of donated land, students will cultivate mangoes and coconuts, potentially earning income for future projects.
“These are not handouts,” the MP noted. “They are foundations for independence.”
He also pledged ongoing support to ensure sustainable development in education and agriculture, linking it to broader environmental efforts. “The environment must be protected—but it must also work for us,” he concluded.
