King Oyanka and Donimu (Malta) Forge Global Partnership to Champion Human Rights and Humanitarian Work

A new era of international cooperation has been launched as King Ayitey Anumle Oyanka I, Chairman of the International Human Rights Association (IHRA), and Chev. Jean Pierre Calleja, SoC, Founder and Leader of Donimu (Malta), signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly promote humanitarian efforts and defend the rights of vulnerable populations across the globe.

The historic agreement was signed in the presence of His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Pierre Vatel, Leader of V.A.T.E.L. International and official representative of the Vatel Foreign Office — the international outreach arm of Donimu (Malta). The MOU underscores a shared commitment to knightly-charitable initiatives, humanitarian advocacy, and capacity-building programs that seek to elevate human dignity, welfare, and justice.

The newly formed alliance between IHRA and Donimu (Malta) will see both organizations combine their global networks, expertise, and influence to pursue common goals including:

Promoting human rights education and awareness,

Supporting grassroots and global advocacy campaigns for marginalized communities,

Strengthening international collaboration in the fight for social equity and inclusion.

Speaking at the signing, King Oyanka expressed deep optimism about the future of the partnership, describing it as a bold step towards long-term impact.

“We are thrilled to embark on this journey together,” he said. “This partnership will amplify our impact and bring us closer to realizing our shared vision of a world where human rights are universally respected and upheld.”

Chev. Jean Pierre Calleja echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the significance of the alliance in today’s global climate.

“This MOU marks a significant milestone in our collective pursuit of human rights advancement,” he stated. “We look forward to working together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and communities worldwide.”

The partnership is expected to catalyze new initiatives under the umbrella of humanitarian diplomacy, charitable outreach, and international development, with both organizations vowing to uphold transparency, compassion, and excellence in service.

Also playing a pivotal role in facilitating the collaboration is H.E. Amb. Dr. Pierre Vatel, whose leadership within V.A.T.E.L. International and Donimu’s Foreign Office continues to bridge regional humanitarian efforts with global institutions. Dr. Vatel reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that the partnership delivers sustainable results that protect human dignity and empower at-risk populations.

The International Human Rights Association (IHRA), under the leadership of King Oyanka, has remained a strong voice for justice, equity, and cultural recognition across Africa and beyond. Donimu (Malta), rooted in the Maltese tradition of knightly service and charity, has carved a respected niche in philanthropic engagement across Europe and the Mediterranean.

This alliance between Ghana and Malta represents more than a ceremonial gesture; it reflects a genuine and strategic global effort to champion the rights of those often left unheard and unseen.
