Kotoku chiefs call on Adausena chief to refrain from making false allegations against Kotoku Manhene.

Chiefs in Akyem Kotoku state have expressed displeasure over allegations made by the chief of Akyem Adausena against His Royal Majesty Oseadieyo Dr. Frimpong Manso IV, overlord of Akyem Kotoku Traditional Council.

The Adausena chief alleged the Kotoku Manhene’s involvement in galamsey and mismanagement of funds for the Kotoku palace and state development.

Akyem Kotoku Kontehene Obrempong Gyenfi Safro Kyere denied these allegations, urging the Adausena chief to cease spreading falsehoods and provide evidence.

Kotoku Gyaasehene Obrempong Kwasi Amo kyeretwie I noted the Kotoku Manhene hasn’t received funds from Newmont, and even if he had, it’s his to manage.

Kotoku Gyaasehene challenged the media to verify Newmont’s payments to the Overlord.

He expressed surprise that only 2% of royalties go to the Kotoku state.

Obrempong Amo Kyeretwie I emphasized the Kotoku Manhene’s transparency with Newmont funds.

Nifahene Obrempong Tabi Anum defended the Kotoku Manhene’s legal mining activities, questioning the Adausena chief’s motives.

He challenged the Adausena chief to prove allegations of illegal mining.

The chiefs called on the Adausena chief to cease disgracing the Kotoku Manhene.
