Ghanaian international striker, Mahatma Otoo has sealed a two-year deal with Turkish side Balikesirspor in the TFF First League.
Otoo who last played for Ümraniyespor in the same division, after a wonderful season with Norwegian side, Sogndal, sealed the move on Wednesday morning having successfully passed his medicals on Tuesday.
The ferocious striker who was heavily linked with some top notch Clubs in Europe settled on Balikesirspor, an action close sources revealed was as result of a good offer for him.
He will commence training with his new team mates this afternoon as he hopes to bring his rich experience of scoring goals to bear on the team in the remaining matches of the TFF First League.
The former Accra Hearts of Oak captain and Ghana Premier League goal king in an interview with the media mentioned that he is looking to help the team in any capacity on the field especially scoring goals.
“Everything is sealed and I will be training this afternoon with my new colleagues. It is another new challenge for me, one I hope to make good use of during my stay here in Turkey”, he expressed.
His first order of business will be to break into the team (something he can easily do), and help the team move up the league log as they lie at the 8th position after 3 matches with 4 points.
Before this deal, some scouts in Belgium, Holland Spain, Italy, England and Germany were monitoring him to get his signature.
