As part of activities to celebrate Homowo festival, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) youth wing in Dome Kwabenya organized a second edition of their Homowo soccer game.
It was a remarkable event that aimed to promote unity while projecting the political party, NPP.
The Game successfully brought together the vibrant youth of their community, fostering a sense of togetherness and camaraderie.
The game not only showcased the passion for soccer but also served as a platform to raise awareness about the political party’s values and achievements.
The event was graced by the presence and contribution of key personalities such as the Mr. Robert Osei Bonsu (constituency chairman), H.E Mike Oquaye Jnr CEO Ghana Freezone, the deputy regional youth organizer, Kwabenya youth chief, deputy constituency secretary, constituency organizer, various cordinators, polling station executives and community teams whose support played a vital role in its success.
Their presence added prestige and significance to the occasion, further highlighting the importance of community engagement and collaboration.
The winning team at the end of the games was Ashomang, beating Kwabenya in penalty shootouts.
The constituency youth organizer, Derrick Baapogma and the guest of the occasion, H.E Oquaye Jnr. CEO Ghana Freezone congratulated and presented medals, trophy and cash amount to the winning team and some items to each team (Abokobi, Haatso, Kwabenya, Abgobga, Dome, Papao and child’s time) for their participation. The youth were also encouraged to get registered in the upcoming limited registration exercise, organized by the E.C Overall, the soccer game served as a powerful testament to the youth’s dedication, the party’s vision, and the collective spirit of our community.
