Winners of the penultimate Big Millennium Marathon Raffle Draw held at the Accra Polo grounds on Satueday expressed their happiness for winning and being shown in the media.
Brandsmania Ltd sponsored the draw which was conducted by the NLA in an open and transparent setting during the cuisine fair, as part of activities preceding the main marathon event.
The proud winners were Bukari Mortka from the Upper East, Desmond Selasie Festus and Banny Ojoro, a foreign student from Nigeria.
They expressed joy over their awards and hoped that the Millennium Marathon would be a success.
Ambassador Ashim Mortion urged people to take advantage of the extension in the registration and join the fun and race with fantastic prizes at stake.
He said special Pick Up Points have been designated for runners to join the buses to the Independence Square in Accra.
Runners are coming from Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, USA, UK, Japan, China, India, Canada, France, Germany, Switzerland, Nigeria, Cote d Voire, Togo, Burkona Faso, Benin, Congo, South Africa, Colombia and Mexico.
The winner of the Millennium Marathon takes home $2,500. The winner of the Raffle drives home a brand new Nissan Kicks SUV.
