The Member of Parliament for the Agona West Constituency Mrs. Cynthia Mamle Morrison and the Agona West Municipal Assembly have pledge fifty bags of cement for the construction of community centre at Agona Nkum in the Central Region.
The promise was made at a durbar of the Chiefs of the town over the weekend to climax the celebration of their Annual Akwambo festival.
Prior to the celebration of the festival, the Chiefs at a meeting resolved not to allow any political activity in the town until all their request are met by the government, because according to the Mankrado of the town Nana Kojo Afful V, politicians have deceived them for far too long.
According to our information, this position by the Chiefs might have forced the MP and the Assembly to promise to donation towards the construction of the project.
