Nana Kobina Amissah 1 Installs As Ekumfi Kotukwa Development Chief

Okogyedom Nana Eduah Kofi Agyir V, the Chief of Ekumfi Kotukwa, a suburb of the Ekumfi District in the central region on Thursday 2nd December 2021 sworn in Okogyeman Nana Kobina Amissah 1, Known in private life as H.E. Sir Clyde Rivers, as development Chief of Ekumfi Kotukwa.

The colourful ceremony witnessed the support from the elders both from Ekumfi Kotukwa, Ekumfi Royal Council and visitors from United State of America include, Ambassador Prof. Albert Nasasa Gare, the special advisor to the President of the Republic of Burundi , Dr. Jennifer Harris USA , Mr. Francis Kwame Ghunney , CEO of Mining Tools Ghana – Obousi, Dr. Kwabena Asmoah and others.

This induction and coronation ceremony marks the beginning of the journey to prosperity and life-changing programs that will help bring development to the Ekumfi Kotukwa Kingdom respectively. And also to assist the traditional authorities in their bid to attract investors to the area.

Speaking after the swearing-in ceremony, Okogyedom Nana Eduah Kofi Agyir V, emphasized that development is a key to every society hence the need for them to induct development Chief to help fasten developmental projects in their communities. Adding that his inducted will promote the Ghanaian culture abroad.

According to Nana Eduah Kofi Agyir V, the Council will support and collaborate with the new Chief for more developmental projects such as job creation, Education, Infrastructures, mentoring the youth, promoting the Ghanian culture which will also boost the tourist revenue in the country.

Okogyedom Nana Eduah Kofi Agyir V, address, he described Okogyeman Nana Kobina Amissah 1, as a man of substance. he pointed out that he personally invited Okogyeman Nana Kobina Amissah 1, to come home and help develop Ekumfi Kotukwa and Ekumfi communities like he had been doing in other countries.

“We are fortunate to have Okogyeman Kobina Amissah 1, in our midst. This is your home and we want you to help develop the Ekumfi Kotukwa as you have done elsewhere. We believe that you will use your neutrality to bridge the differences into our community,” Nana Eduah added.

The chief of Ekumfi Kotukwa, Okogyedom Nana Eduah Kofi Agyir V, told the crowd that the community already has lands and what they need is development. Nana Agyir, also expressed the hope that he would get the support of the traditional elders of the area to enable him discharge his duties effectively.

The new chief, whose stool name is Okogyeman Nana Kobina Amissah 1, has been tasked with the responsibility to mobilize the people to develop the area through the provision of basic social amenities.”We have lands, what is necessary and important is for you to come and develop this town. The entire township wants progress and development because we have inhabitants in this town that need progress.”

He therefore promised him of his support. “We are also promising that any help and support we can offer you that your vision will be realized, we will be able to do so for you to execute your work . Anytime you call on us , we shall respond to your call. You are royal and son of the land, we blessed you that whatever you will do, will be prosperous,” Nana Kofi Agyir V, stated.

At a ceremony which took place on Thursday 2nd 2021, at Ekumfi Kotukwa, Okogyeman Nana Kobina Amissah 1, took an oath of allegiance before the chief of the town, Okogyedom Nana Edua Kofi Agyir V, the elders and the people at a durbar organized to mark the occasion.

In his acceptance speech, Okogyeman Nana Kobina Amissah 1, expressed his profund gratitude to be part of the Ekumfi kingdom. ” I thank you for this kind gesture you offer me today. I have great strategy for this kingdom. I came with 20 people from around the world who work with multiple industries and businesses. They are coming to work in this kingdom to help building and developing this place. “

He pledged to do everything to ensure there is development in the Ekumfi Kotukwa community in his capacity. This according to him, as part of the developmental moves he will initiate in the area, he is going to establish multipurpose businesses. And promised to bring education , business and international relations to where the people of Ekumfi Kotukwa can go all over the world and to contribute.

He stated in his acceptance speech that he will do everything possible for Ekumfi Kotukwa kingdom to become an example to other kingdoms. “When the kingdom believes in God, all things become possible. we will bring Africa with new mindset as people come to work in Ghana. It is privilege to work in this kingdom”, he noted.

In conclusion, Okogyeman Kobina Amissah 1, the development Chief of Ekumfi Kotukwa properly known as H.E. Sir Clyde Rivers, encouraged the township to support him with prayers through that he can develop the community, and promised to work beyond imagination and respect every citizen in the Ekumfi Kotukwa community.
