Oddarene School Holds 12th Graduation Ceremony

Oddarene school in Dansoman Last Stop in Accra has held its colourful graduation ceremony for kindergarten and Junior High School students, Saturday 7th July, 2018.

A total of 37 students, Nine (9) Junior High Schools and 28 kindergarten pupils were graduated.

The graduates displayed fantastic cultural and choreography skills with beautiful presentation of inspirational and spoken words.

The Director, Rev.Kwaku Addo who graced the occasion as the main speaker congratulated all of them for their hardwork and wished them all the best in their next level of lives academically.

Rev.Kwaku Addo stated that, 2018 academic year faced some challenges more especially with finances but hope that, the situation would improved during the next academic year and advised parents to collaborate with the school to work out the challenges that the school is facing in terms of finances.

He further added that, the school has increased the number of staff and believe that the increase would help improve the teaacher-student ratio in order to enhance academic performance.

In addition, Rev.Addo indicated that, the school is about opening two new classrooms in the next academic year and this is to reduce the conjection in the classroom. Two teachers have also been made supervisors and their role is to ensure moral discilpine and decency among students in and outside the school, he stated.

 

According to him, 50% payment of school fees at the day of reopening is going to be implemented and encouraged parents to adhere to the payment structure in order to ensure smooth running of activities in the school. He also advised parents to ensure that their wards continue to read while on vacation and asked that, each child learn at least 55 new words before coming to school in order to improve upon their vocabularies.

He indicated that, Oddarene would see some changes in the school during the next academic year and listed some of the changes which included acquiring a school bus, new staffroom, new Mathematics and Information Communication Technology teachers, among others.

All graduantes were awarded certificates including some deserving teachers as well as non teaching staff (cooks).

 

 

 

 

 

In attendance were the Director of the school; Rev.Kwaku Addo,Mr. Theophelous Quaye(Headmaster) and Apostle Isaac Okyere(chairperson.

The school was established in 2006.
