The National Paralympic Committee (NPC) has inaugurated two bodies, the Para-Athletics and Para-Powerlifting.
The inauguration of the aforementioned bodies came off on Thursday morning at the Accra Sports Stadium Media Center.
The Para-Athletics will be headed by Dr. Isaac Ankomah, vice president is Otor Plahar, Secretary-General, Peter Adjei, P.R.O, Winfred Nafisa, and the executive members are Ignatius Ellertey, Shaban Mohammed and Sesiman Donatus.
The executives of Para-Powerlifting are, Samson Deen (President), Peter Adjei (vice president), Michael Kwame, Edward Oppong and Ignatius Ellertey (Executive members).
NPC president Bishop Cornelius Adjah Coffie in addressing the media said, its association decided to inaugurate the bodies in order to develop the sports in the country.
He added that, the two bodies will have a four-year term each and he charged them to do everything within their power to lift the image of the sports.
The deputy Youth and Sports minister Pius Enam assured the heads of the two bodies of government’s support. He also tasked them to develop the sport before promotion.
