The leader of Asomdwee Ntonton Som (the religion of Peace and Exaltation) Onyame Somafo Yaw has vehemently condemned the speaking of tongues by some Christians under the guise of being filled by the Holy Spirit, saying the acts are the work of the devil to deceive many so-called Christians into his fold.
According to him, apart from the day of Pentecost where the followers of God where visited by the Holy Spirit, culminating in them speaking in tongues, that has not happen, and will not happen on human race again.
He contended that even at that time, the people whom the Holy Spirit descended spoke in the languages that the by-standers understood, and not like the present day where so-called Christians utter strange words that does not exist in any language in the world in the name of speaking in tongues.
He hinted that most of the words used in the so-called speaking of tongues are names of other spirits, and in the process of mentioning those names, the people unknowingly invoke them, who in turn possess them under the guise of been visited by the Holy Spirit.
He has therefore promise to avail himself to any challenge by any pastor to prove their source of power at anytime and anywhere.
