Pokuah Sawyerr Party With Children On Christmas

HON Queenstar Pokuah Sawyerr, Member of Parliament (MP) for Agona East  has ended this year’s festive season with an annual childrens’ party for children in her constituency.

At a colourful party with the children, the MP adviced her children to be obedient and respectful saying that “this gesture is amongst my top most priorities where the gap between the rich and poor will gradually close by the end of my tenure and when the vulnerable would be made to always feel happy and motivated”.

According to her she has a responsibility to build a better constituency hence she will do all within her power, and by the help of God and her people she will bring development to the area.

She also pledged to continue assisting the children in her constituency, urging them to study hard and become better citizens.

The ceremony brought together thousands of children across the eleven wards of the constituency who participated in musical chairs and a dancing competition amidst merry making.

In Attendance were the Chiefs and Queenmothers of the Agona East traditional area, Member of Parliament for the Asuogyaman Constituency Hon Thomas Ampem and his team, the former regional coordinator of the Ghana School Feeding Program-CR Hon Esther Ayensu, deputy regional communication officer Hon Emmanuel Kweku Arkoh, youth organiser for Awutu Senya comrade Abekah, Mamoud Muhammed senior member NDC-Accra, the former presiding member of the Agona East Assembly Hon. George Kojo Yankah, Constituency Executives of the Agona East Constituency, members of the media and many more.
