Politicians Continue To Make Us Poor – Apostle Paul Kwesi Asare

Apostle Paul Kwesi Asare, an Apostle of the Word of God and Founder of The Servant TV, said the people of Ghana especially the poor who have laid down their lives to see the coming into power of the ruling government continue to suffer.

A situation he said must not be so.

He said politicians have been voted to office to help make lives better, but the moment they (politicians) continue to amass wealth and exploit the resources to their own advantage, the people suffer.

Speaking in a Facebook Live Broadcast, Apostle Paul Kwesi Asare averred that Ghanaians have suffered and continue to suffer in the hands of poverty, with nothing meaningful coming from the politicians to bring them out of poverty.

He quoted 1 Thessalonians 2 vs 2 “We had previously suffered and been treated outrageously in Philippi, as you know, but with the help of our God we dared to tell you his gospel in the face of strong opposition.”

Apostle Paul Kwesi Asare noted that because the politicians have failed the people, there is no peace in the country. “We are not at peace because we are poor, because we are suffering,” he said.

He said, it was sad that politicians who came to the people, the poor grassroots, with sweet words luring them to vote for them suddenly change their attitudes when they get the position.

“We are suffering Mr. President. Civil Servants, Teachers, Doctors, pastors, traders have suffered and continue to suffer. There are no jobs, yet the politicians will not tell us the truth,” he said.

He also noted that Politicians who have enjoyed, looted the nation’s cash continue to live in peace, yet individuals who have slightly fallen of the law are made to suffer and imprisoned.

“Until when shall we see peace?” he asked saying, “Our dear President, our chosen President we have faith in you,” but things are now getting out of hands, the suffering is too much for us to bear. We cannot bear it anymore.”

Also reading from Jeremiah 5 vs 26 – 28 “For among My people are wicked men; they watch like fowlers lying in wait; they set a trap to catch men. Like cages full of birds, their houses are full of deceit; they have become rich and powerful and have grown fat and sleek. Their evil deeds have no limit; they do not seek justice. They do not promote the case of the fatherless; they do not defend the just cause of the poor,” referring to the character of politicians who have become rich out of the toils of the poor, and yet do not respect and regard the poor.

He mentioned that the “time has come for us to speak because we once suffered and continue to suffer. Let’s think of the country.”

He said the NPP going forward, if they have done something for which the grassroots will vote for them again, must allow the people to tell the story for them.

According to him, the grassroots are the better people to tell the story be it good or bad depending on the changes you (the government/politicians) have brought into their lives.
