Salvation Army To Establish A University

Salvation Army, one of the oldest churches in Ghana is to establish a University in the Ashanti Region.
Already, plans are afoot to cut sod for the commencement of the project ,which may coincide with the Centenary celebration of the Church.
This was disclosed by the Divisional Commander in charge of Central Region, Major Stephen Boadu in an interview with the media during the Annual Gospel Rally at Agona Swedru in the Central Region.
The Salvation Army Church is known for its widespread provision of humanitarian and relief services throughout the world, and the establishment of school and health facilities in both urban and rural communities.
As part of activities to mark the 4-Days programme, the over two thousand members of the Church under the Division who attended the Rally were educated on issues of proper nutrition, personal hygiene, indecent dressing particularly among the youth, as well as public evangelism.
