The Eastern Regional Director of Health Services, Dr. Winfred Owusu, has urged the media to report positively about healthcare facilities in the country.
In an interview after a durbar to mark the retirement of Dr. Acquah Harrison the Superintendent of Akyem Oda Government Hospital, Dr. Owusu emphasized that hospitals are essential for everyone’s healthcare needs.
He cautioned that speaking negatively about hospitals can deter people from seeking proper healthcare, ultimately affecting the morale of healthcare workers who work tirelessly to provide quality care.
Dr. Owusu highlighted the dedication of healthcare staff in providing excellent care to patients and appealed to the media to report constructively, showcasing the good work done in hospitals.
He announced that a facelift is forthcoming for healthcare facilities, and positive media coverage will enhance the public’s confidence in these facilities.
