Sports Journalist Kobby Stonne Elected UniMAC External Affairs Commissioner

Sports journalist and broadcaster Alex Kobina Stonne has been elected as the External Affairs Commissioner of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UniMAC) after a successful SRC Elections 2026.

Stonne secured a commanding victory, polling 708 votes, representing 68.14%, to win the External Affairs Commissioner position in an election described by the Electoral Commission as peaceful, transparent, and credible.

The sports presenter, who is associated with Adom TV, Adom FM, and Asempa FM, is known for his work in sports journalism and media engagement, a background many believe will strengthen UniMAC’s external relations, partnerships, and institutional visibility.

The SRC Electoral Commission, in its official declaration, commended the student body for its maturity and active participation throughout the electoral process, while congratulating all elected officers and acknowledging the contribution of all aspirants.

Other key results from the elections saw Moses Desire Kuoyo elected SRC President with 554 votes (53.32%), Thomas Amankwah Fosuhene winning the General Secretary slot with 826 votes (79.50%), and Anthony Agboli securing the Financial Secretary position with 797 votes (76.71%).

Reacting after the declaration of results, Stonne expressed gratitude to students for the confidence reposed in him and assured them of his commitment to serve diligently, using his experience from the media and external engagements to advance the interests of UniMAC students beyond campus.

The newly elected SRC executives are expected to assume office in line with the SRC Constitution of UniMAC.
